My Garden Shed ("the App") is a private garden journal application built by ShakenAI. This policy describes what data we collect, how it's used, and your rights.
Garden name, plant names, varieties, milestones, harvests, journal entries, tags, container names, soil types, and notes — all stored locally on your device in a SQLite database.
Photos you take or select are stored on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server.
If you use the Plant Health Diagnosis feature, a base64-encoded image is sent to ShakenAI's Cloudflare Worker (garden-shed-gemini.shala-277.workers.dev) for analysis. The worker runs the LLaVA vision model via Cloudflare Workers AI. No images are stored by the worker beyond the duration of the request. You can disable AI features entirely, or point the app at your own worker, in Settings → AI.
The app fetches weather data from Open-Meteo (free, no API key required). The request includes only your selected city's latitude/longitude — no personal identifiers.
If you use the Companion Suggestions feature, your plant names (and optionally your season) are sent to the same ShakenAI Cloudflare Worker, which runs the Llama 3.2 text model via Cloudflare Workers AI. No data is stored by the worker beyond the duration of the request.
The optional premium upgrade ("My Garden Shed Pro") is processed through RevenueCat. If you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your purchase/entitlement status so the app can verify your purchase. RevenueCat does not receive your garden data, photos, or any other app content. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to this transaction data. You can restore purchases at any time in Settings → Premium.
All data — plants, journal entries, milestones, harvests, photos, and settings — is stored entirely on your device using SQLite (via SQLDelight) and Android SharedPreferences.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect changes.
